Still a very high quality speakerphone. The audio output is fantastic. The reason for the three stars is as follows: 1. The microphone pickup is too sensitive and cannot be switched off; made for a much larger space, not a meeting room. Support says it's for people at least 8 or 10 feet away. This will not happen in a small room. We tried this out in a small 10' x 12' meeting room. When a person speaks softly, it appears as if they are holding the microphone directly to their mouth, and the room makes a tinny noise, like being in a metal barrel. When there are more than two people in the room things get so congested that the other end asked us to turn it off and call from another phone. The dial buttons are a little cramped. Unlike most conference phones that people with touch controls are used to, these buttons require a pretty good tap to register a button press. If you have weak fingers, you can ask someone else to choose for you. Minor inconveniences: We chose to use the softphone that came with the iPad controller in our Zoom room instead of a separate PRI line for the dialer. We had to order the FLX UC 500 without a number pad. However, we used what was. I still had to run the line to the network jack as the only power option was POE. Summary: Only use this device in large rooms. Support said they are working on a firmware fix to address this issue, so maybe in a month or so there won't be an issue again. We can only hope.
