Bought for my wife, here is her review:

I quit smoking 7 months ago and happened to abstain from coffee during the hot Florida summer and fall months. As every year, when the first signs of cold weather appeared, I was eager to return to a cup of good strong coffee. Imagine my shock when I discovered that the taste buds of rejuvenated smokers were disgusted by my signature pre-ground espresso beans in an automatic drip coffee maker. After declaring the entire jar a disaster and throwing it down the drain, I began my internet research and subsequent shopping. When I decided French Press was right for me, I combed through Revain, looked at customer reviews, and finally found a 34-ounce French Bean Envy. Press coffee machine with milk frother. From the moment I placed my order, the customer service was amazing: personalized emails asking for feedback and suggestions, an amazing vanilla cappuccino recipe (which I loved and even added a cinnamon stick to while... I heat the milk with vanilla extract) and continue in abundance. The products arrived as promised and the packaging was professional yet easily accessible, ensuring everything arrived in perfect condition. I spent the next week experimenting with different coffee beans, coffee grounds, coffee-to-water ratios, and brew times. I'm passionate about the daily rituals of French Press brewing and getting closer and closer to the perfect cup of coffee. My current "failures” also taste delicious. While the milk frother was tricky to get the batteries in correctly, once made it was simply divine! I've had a cappuccino coffee maker in the past and while I loved frothed milk, mastering the steam system wasn't easy. But the worst was the cleaning. With this handy battery operated milk frother, give me 30 seconds and I'll give you a perfect cup of frothed milk and ask you to pour your coffee, with the frother already clean and back in its handy stand! But have I managed without it so far? As for the French Press itself, I love the coffee they help me make. I was nervous about a glass jar with a metal press. I use a wooden spoon to stir the soil during the "flowering" period and to remove the spent soil during cleaning. I almost went for the stainless steel insulated version until I read that you want to pour the coffee immediately after pressing to avoid boiling over. batch, there isn't enough room, even with the extra 2 ounce capacity, so the grind spreads out and the "press" stage is a total mess. Worse, when I pour my carafe from a full one, it always drips out of the spout, leaving a puddle of my hard coffee work on the counter. However, when I make 3/4 pot (750ml/24oz) or less, everything is perfect. This is my first french press so I'm not sure if the "full pot" syndrome is common or bad design. As far as cleaning goes, with the black plastic holder, the bottom stays wet, trapping moisture between the plastic and glass. In addition, the black plastic construction protects the glass, protects the skin from heat and sits firmly on the counter. While I'm still trying to get comfortable with the French press process, I've been impressed with the personalized customer service that Bean provides. Envy! Thank you Donna
