Larger than expected, but great cut and length

I got this dress for a date night out but it sadly did not fit my body. I got the large (I'm 170 lbs, 5'9 for reference) and I felt like I was swimming in it in the waist and arms. It was fine in the bust, which means it might be a good fit for someone with larger hourglass curves. I have a larger bust, but less in the hips and butt area which meant this just wasn't as filled out as it needed to be to sit correctly on my body.Measurements: The waist of the dress was 17 inches across at the smallest part for size large.I do think I could have ordered a medium and I would have been OK.The fabric does stretch a bit, and I found that it was easy to pull up my own zipper in this dress.Overall: Not for me because of sizing, but I liked the fabric and cut.
