Review on πŸ“Έ Enhance Lens Compatibility with Fotasy Canon FD Lens to Canon EF Adapter by Enrique Espinoza

Definitely works! Very pleasantly surprised!

Definitely works. It's not perfect but for the price I paid I'm more than happy with my purchase. Also works with FL lenses! I was able to install FL 35mm f/2.5, FL 58mm f/1.2, FD 50mm f/1.4 (bayonet) and FD 135mm f/3.5 (punch) on 5Dii and 5Div. The minimum focusing distance seems to be the same as my F1 and I can focus to infinity with no problems. To mount FL lenses, simply unscrew the small screw on the side and close as usual with the silver ring on the front of the lens. The optics are not perfect. Wide open, all lenses have a soft focus look (which I know from photographs on film, lenses initially don't have it). The 58mm was the worst (not surprising) and the 135mm was the best (again, not surprising). After stopping, the middle slowly tapers upwards. It's perfectly usable at a wider aperture than f/4, but gets sharper across the frame as you stop down. Considering I've spent more on filters and have previously been able to take 0 photos with my FL lenses on a digital camera, I'd say it's well within if not outside of any reasonable expectation for these adapter optics and the Fotodiox much better optics . However, Fotodiox cannot mount FL lens. So for FD lenses I would use Fotodiox and for FL lenses I use this Fotasy of course. To anyone unhappy with their purchase I would recommend returning it and trying a new one if possible. I think it's great! I prefer these lenses on my F-1, but it's still very interesting to use them on my digital cameras too!
