We bathed our toddler for a while without this cap and decided to give it a try. It was a novelty at first, but it was soon dismantled and turned into a game. Almost 2 months after our original purchase, it has not been used more than once (the first time). It works in theory, but it's difficult to manage without getting tangled in your hair, which makes sense for sealing out the water. However, all the effort involved in putting it on disappears the moment our little one rips it off immediately. All in all not practical and not recommended to anyone.
