I bought three of these cables. A tip came off clean. I had to use tweezers to get the minutes out of my TV since it was in an eARC port. The second periodically loses sync, and I noticed that a tip was hanging out. The third works exactly as you would expect from a Cable Matters product. I have already returned one, the return period for the second has already expired. I can contact Cable Matters for a second cable warranty. HDMI cables are always fragile, but they seem too flimsy when you're considering securing the cable to a device or wall to prevent movement. I can only assume that the problem with their production line has not yet been noticed. Hope they sort this out soon.
