Works for saving Gamecube games on the original Gamecube and also for saving games on Nintendo Wii. Fits and works perfectly. The only potential downside is that it has a little red light to show it's plugged in. This indicator stays lit even when the system is off. If you have a system in your bedroom, the red light can be a little confusing. But you can just turn it off or take out the memory card. (Or do what I do and live your life in a silent feud with a little supposedly unintelligent red light that you always forget to turn off when you're done with it.)
