I had a T9 for a few years before trading it for this unit. The fit and finish of this device is much better than the T9. I also think the user interface on this device is more like an OEM setup. I wouldn't sell my 4Runner without first removing the T9, but I wouldn't mind selling it with this unit. CarPlay on this device is MUCH more stable than the T9 which doesn't work at all (requires an external CarPlay dongle). This device also offers built-in GPS, while the T9 does not. I tried many GPS apps for T9 but none of them worked properly. Also, the hands-free capability of the T9 is terrible, but it's much better with this device. Finally, this unit is more secure as you can keep and use the OEM brackets to bolt it to your dashboard. I was in the back a few months ago and the T9 pulled away from the dash because you can't bolt it on. I wonder if it will be a projectile in a big crash.
