No substitute for Chi!
Works great on thick hair that is difficult to straighten. I had a different, different brand and it almost didn't clean up. I used to work in a cosmetics store and everyone agreed that nothing compares to Qi. So true in this case! It heats up and doesn't pull your hair, so I don't understand the other reviews. I'm ordering one for my daughter because she just returned hers which didn't work properly.
