3 foot cable is what I needed. I have 1 in the bedroom, 1 in the car and 1 in the living room. It works with both the original adapter and non-original adapters. The cables are flexible and of high quality. They're a lot cheaper than Apple's, but they work exactly the same. So I went here to buy something. Oh yes, I tried it on my iPad 10 and it works too. It's pretty cool I think.
