I have two of these sets and have been using them for about 2 months now. The first thing that struck me was how easily it loses connection when hit hard. While it keeps the connection good enough for charging, it's enough to interrupt data transfers. Data transfer is pretty close to what I would see with a regular USB-A to USB-C connection. The loading time is slower. I have a One Plus and my wife has a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. When playing YouTube Music (only music, no videos), the battery barely lasts for charging. When I use my regular USB-A to USB-C charging cable, it actually charges while I'm listening to music. I was using the dedicated power bank that One Plus uses for charging and this cable isn't compatible with it so it still charges at a slower speed. Interestingly, I used a USB-C to USB-A adapter to plug it into my USB-C port and both data transfer and charging speeds have been improved. The swivel is handy, especially in the car, so I don't have to do wire exercises to get things where I want them. Connectivity and in-car charging remained stable. I love magnets and differential port adapters so I only need ONE cable per section and it connects to anything. It also works well with my daughter's Chromebook and charges it well. The magnets are pretty strong. Strong enough to pull the adapter out of my phone while it was in my pocket. I ended up with an adapter taped to my keys. ------ UPDATE I bought another set for my wife so we all tried to upgrade to this one. Overall not bad. My wife and I mostly have USB-C devices now, my daughter still has devices with multiple diff ports. I bought a new device that can connect to my phone. It sucks. As I mentioned earlier, dropping a data connection doesn't take long. So much so that a pothole or even a fast pull-off at a traffic light can result in a loss of communication. What annoys us are the "exceptions". We have cables in the most common places we are, but if they run out and you don't have a magnetic cable you'll have to pull out the adapter and use a regular cable. I've lost the adapter almost every time (found it again half the time), and while I can get mine out fairly easily, my daughter's phone has to use an assistant (or pliers). LOVE the idea but not for everyday use.
