Review on Leatherboss Bifold Hipster Wallet Credit by Greg Lockhart

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Those are good things folks, but nothing at this price lasts forever.

Got this to replace my previous hipster wallet. The nature of the design helps distribute overlapping tiers of credit/ID cards and reduce "daddy's purse" syndrome. [NB: I remove the small plastic card holder as it defeats the purpose of the design, although some may wish to use it for photos. I never understood the appeal of sitting on my friends faces and no one else has to do that now that our phones are more advanced than the Apollo lunar lander computers.] Card slots etc were a bit tight on this one. than my original wallet, but that's to be expected from something that by its very nature is largely hand assembled and therefore subject to more variation than something made using robotic manufacturing methods. I'll handle the human element, thank you. :-)Update: ok, 1.5 years have passed and the card separators are so worn that the cards slip into the wallet. It didn't work*, which is important, but a total of 1.5 years of wallet-less life is all I expected from something in this price range. NB: He might have lived a bit longer if I hadn't completely filled all the slots, but that's how I play. Still happy with my purchase and looking at my order history I can see my previous hipster purse died in hip bag hell after about 1.5 years too so voila! It's time for me to replace. :-)

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Tradeable
