Not strong on door and stair gates

I bought this particular gate for my new Morkie puppy to restrain him during potty training. I thought this would be a good choice as my husband has a stroke and it would be difficult to step over the bottom rail. It snaps in well and slides out easily and reclines nicely. But after a few days, my pup was able to get it off its hinges or crawl under it, rendering it completely unusable. My puppy is 3 months old and weighs 4.7 kg. would not recommend.
