This amazing book nook kit is the perfect starter kit for a beginner. It has plenty to do and is well marked for placement. The lighting is already assembled and just needs to be placed in the nook. The only thing the builder must watch out for is removing the more delicate pieces from the sheets of wood. It took me four days to assembled to allow for drying time. It was a great kit.

I thought this would be an amazing addition to my hutch which has all Harry Potter memorabilia & collectors items. This is a well designed and fun to build laser kit. No surprises or major head scratching. Parts are pretty easy to remove with a sharp #11 blade hobby knife ( although I now prefer scalpels bought on ebay) and a little thought to see where the parts attach to the wood. The supplied mirror makes the scene appear much longer than it is which is nice. Treat the mirror with respect! The bookshelf insert is in full color and, if you take your time and are careful, the streetlights work just fine. My only complaint is that the instructions weren't as clear as they could have been and pictures, like the ones in the ads, would have been useful. I constantly went back to the internet ads to make sure I was assembling it correctly. Regardless, I finished it in a day and it looks and works great!

this was a perfect way to kill some time. easy to assemble with the directions given. all i needed was some glue and a pair of scissors. it looks great!

This is less detailed than some things I've assembled, but the instructions are minimal and in broken English. You have to pay very close attention to the pictures, because if you miss a visual cue, something is going to be off. A couple of the pictures are reversed, making them confusing. This was my second book nook and the difference was huge. This product is HEAVY, with extremely sturdy wood. I put it together in one evening and the product is beautiful. I wish it was a bit more difficult to put together, to be honest! I purchased and built the Eternal Bookstore and Sailing Memory book nooks. Both were solid wood and fairly easily punched from their (nicely colorful) boards. The assembly was somewhat tedious, but I don't like a quick, easy build anyway. The lighting on both worked well. I enjoyed these immensely, and they are really, really cute! I'm going to build another one! (BTW, I'm a 75 year old woman).

This things looks neat, but basically all the parts require them to be glued in place. Pieces are fragile too and would break easy when trying to remove them from the tree. Lastly, the lighting mechanism is really inconvenient, since you have to activate it from the back.

This DIY is a good project for the winter. The description and pictures are accurate, the price is reasonable. Unfortunately, I had bought the "same" thing on another website and it was a horrible, cheezy piece of garbage. Stick with ebay!

Sent this to my artsy sister for a gift and she loved it. Took her 8 hours to assemble and a whole lot more patience than my ADD self could never have. She said it looks perfect on her bookshelf & said the instructions were easy to follow.

Buy a good fast drying glue and be careful when popping out the pieces for this kit. It's beautiful and fun. In addition to the mini books covers provided, we printed out teeny tiny book covers of some of our personal favorites, so that's one cool way to personalize and customize this kit!

Received quickly. Unable to rate ease of assembly, because this is a gift for someone, so I hope it's not too difficult. It looks beautiful.

I totally enjoyed this project. Parts of it were tedious but well worth the effort. I could not get it to snap completely together like it should, but I still made it work. So much fun and I was very happy with the end result!
