Review on KOHLER GENUINE GP1229656 Canister Repair by Robert Sample

After the little yellow cover came loose from our original unit, I was disappointed that I couldn't find this one piece. Everyone seemed to think it was acceptable to pay around $20 if I needed an item under $1. Frustrated, I just kept fixing the toilet, probably a waste of precious water (I live in the desert). Searching again I finally found this kit for about $7 and was happy to find a way to replace what I needed without the extras. Installation was easy. If you can follow the diagrams, insert the tab A into the slot B and twist it, then everything is ok. I ended up replacing the main shaft as it seemed reasonable and have had a properly working washer (I'm pretty sure that's the official name) for a few weeks now.
