excellent printer for the price

error loading media. So I bought this Sunlu S8 before the price went up and I have to say it's a quality printer. Like all 3D printers, it has its drawbacks, but it also has its strengths. It is well packaged and the foam covers the entire printer. In addition, the jar is packed with bubble wrap to prevent damage in transit. A small spool of test filament is included (thank goodness I didn't have to rewind another sample from a new printer). The glass and bed were flat and not warped towards each other as I've seen in some YouTube reviews. Another plus is that the cables are neatly routed on the printer, so you as a consumer need one less step. There are also a few issues that I've pointed to Sunlu as well, but they're easy to fix and some of them are just quibbles on my part. Easily fixable issues are that the Y portal had to be tightened and from what I can see on YouTube this is an ongoing issue. Another easy to fix problem is that the screws for the filament holder are M5*16, which is a bit bigger than the pictures show, M5*10 works much better. Now, as far as little things go, I'd like to see a pull tab on the screen protector like you see on phone screen cases for easier removal. It took me longer than I'd like to admit to take the protector off. The hex keys could be a bit longer to have more tightening force. Another important thing is that there is no machine profile setting in Cura, so one needs to be created to be compatible with this printer. Sunlu is more than willing to share its print profile for cutting files, but the machine profile seems harder to come by. My solution was to just copy the machine settings from their documentation and it has worked fine so far.
