I have to say wow, just wow. I've dealt with green/blue screen before and it was usually a bit of a chore. It's difficult to get the lighting to work perfectly with multiple objects, and I usually always ended up having a mask that was "good enough" and then manually inspecting and rotoscoping the areas that didn't work or the file with multiple split masks so I can separately select areas of the chroma key with a gradient. It's a royal pain when it doesn't work. I got these softboxes for a recent project because I was unhappy with the lighting in the area and that's the difference between day and night. Precise shadow control, good even lighting, no reflections and minimal flare. I did my first test shots in Vegas, added a chroma key and BOOM - perfect key first time! I'm so used to fighting plugins that I'm a little surprised. I tried all three of my chroma key plugins (Vegas Standard, Hitfilm Ignite Chroma Key and Vegas Extra Color Corrector). They pulled out all the nice keys and reduced my workload to a tenth of what it would normally be. All I can say is that I wish I had bought it sooner.
