Review on 🔭 SVBONY 1.25-inch Eyepiece 6mm - 68° Ultra Wide Angle Telescope Accessory by Joe Glass

I think this eyepiece represents good value for money but it is obviously a cheap lens with potential quality control issues. I found some black paint on the outside of the barrel. Inside the barrel is painted with the same color. I unscrewed the barrel to look at the optics, and flakes of this color came off. It's okay, but it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. I'm new to astronomy and was hoping to get significantly better image quality compared to the standard 10mm Skywatcher Super 10. Obviously this Svbony has a much wider field of view and is better. Eye removal, which is nice. However, I experience many "kidney beans", which soften some of those wider FOV. In the afternoon exam when trying to read the text of a distant character, I found a slightly sharper image compared to the Super 10, but for planetary viewing I found this potential benefit rather negligible. All in all, I don't regret taking it. Eyepiece. It's not that expensive, makes viewing a little more comfortable, and possibly clearer, but don't expect miracles.
