I think this eyepiece represents good value for money but it is obviously a cheap lens with potential quality control issues. I found some black paint on the outside of the barrel. Inside the barrel is painted with the same color. I unscrewed the barrel to look at the optics, and flakes of this color came off. It's okay, but it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. After studying and testing Meade, Celestron and SVBONY, I think SVBONY is better than the other two eyepiece suppliers. In my ranking of SVBONY, Meade and Celestron are in that order. I didn't think of Orion eyepieces. This is based on their 6mm, 9mm and 20mm eyepieces. Of course, SVBONY eyepieces can't compete with the more expensive and higher quality eyepieces for Meade, Orion, Celestron or Tele Vue, but they offer good value for money.
