Review on Devserver by Marcus Barlow

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great code quality analysis & collaboration platform

I like that it can be used for multiple languages with one installation of dev server software (and no need to have separate installations).

It's very user friendly - you don't even know how powerful this tool could become if we would add more features in future releases! The price may seem high at first glance but once your project gets bigger than 10k lines or so then everything will make sense! You should give it try before buying it because there are some things which might look strange when using them initially but they end up being really useful as soon as you get familiarized with their use cases / functions etc. We were looking into an open source solution where our developers needed access from different locations without having all those tools installed locally within each developer machine. This way everyone had equal opportunities while working remotely via VPN connections.

Pros
  • NET Core integration, built in terminal support/SSH client is top notch., good documentation,.net core version works out great both natively & docker image versions available.etc..there're many other small details i'm just not able recall now after several months since my initial implementation : ) So far only experience was positive though..i think :).Netcore 2 supports most common programming
Cons
  • All fine
