This is a great product for appliqué or anytime you want to fuse one fabric to another. Remember that your finished design will be different than what you draw on paper. Follow the clear instructions on the packaging. I would recommend you have a heat resistant printing sheet to cover your ironing board to protect it from adhesives and a purpose designed iron cover to protect your iron. I use the sheet under the drawing and immediately clean the iron from glue. (Proceed with care - the iron is hot!) is essential. Remember you iron, don't iron - press straight down, hold it for the time specified in the instructions, lift the iron straight up and, if necessary, proceed to the next part. The finished product should be durable without sewing. If I make something that will be washed often, I finish it by sewing. I've never had a problem with needle or machine stitches. When making a tapestry, I often skip the sewing.
