I think my feet are a bit thin so these shoes don't fit right. Going up or down doesn't help either, so you'll probably need to use an insole. Hope this solves the problem. The strip is quite long and I had to use the first hole on it. Update: I think I figured out what makes it very uncomfortable when dancing. First, according to Amazon, the size is right. So be sure to measure your foot and then select your shoe size using the table. Secondly, the regular width may be a little wider than the regular size. So if your foot circumference is a little smaller than normal, or shall we say even normal, then your legs will slip out due to the large opening of the fingers. Hope that helps
