I am a ballroom dancing teacher and have always loved Capezio. The first in this style was my street shoe in size 6.5 and it was narrow. I thought it might stretch but after walking around the house for a few minutes I felt pain. So I sent it back and got the next size up and am satisfied. The shoes still hurt after a few hours but not by much and I think once broken in it will be a very comfortable show. Be careful, maybe put some patches on the first few times because I got a blister.

Thumb a little tight but nice shoe

Toe box is a little tight on the thumb but everything else about this shoe is comfortable. I wore them once all day and it was getting late when my large tourniquet started to swell/pinch. The straps have a unique adjustable setting that's more like a buckle hook, making them highly adjustable. I like that the strap goes under the shoe which makes for a good fit. The insole is soft and wicks moisture and is best? NO CLICK-CLACK while walking! HOORAY! I wear them to work and I really like theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Great pair of shoes for beginner salsa

This was my very first pair of salsa shoes. Now that I've been dancing for a few months and own about 7-8 pairs of shoes, I can attest that these shoes are great. They are comfortable, easy to break in and easy to dance to. However, Revain has other salsa shoes that are more comfortable but also more expensive. They are a great pair to start with (I have 2 pairs). When I first started dancing, I wore band-aids every time I put on salsa shoes (including these). But it had more to do with my feet

Wide toe works well for ballet and dancing

I think my feet are a bit thin so these shoes don't fit right. Going up or down doesn't help either, so you'll probably need to use an insole. Hope this solves the problem. The strip is quite long and I had to use the first hole on it. Update: I think I figured out what makes it very uncomfortable when dancing. First, according to Amazon, the size is right. So be sure to measure your foot and then select your shoe size using the table. Secondly, the regular width may be a little wider than theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Not the best option

The heel height isn't great if you plan on dancing for more than 2 hours!

These shoes are true to size, well made and have a good lining. I chose them wide because I have a big foot and I usually need more room in the front. I've used these shoes a few times and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because sometimes you need to break in your shoes. Nevertheless, I attended a 2-hour dance class and then wanted to throw my shoes out the window. They become uncomfortable the longer you wear them (that's my experience). I even put a small gel sockliner on the toe

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Update available

Capezio quality is dropping

With each new model I am more and more disappointed with the quality of Capezio. I love buying discontinued styles on ebay when I can find them in my size, but it's getting harder and harder! You get what you pay for but they are not as bad as the satin heeled latin shoes I bought the other time. The sole of the shoe is too long, it goes past the big toe, but it could be worse. I don't need it for tango dancing, but since it's a practice shoe I can't really complain. However, this is a danceโ€ฆ
