Benefits - Easy to cut. Relatively cheap. Cons - Thin and cracks/cracks when handling difficult surfaces. The ash doesn't seem durable enough for the outdoor use it's intended for. I also doubt self-healing from anything other than being hit by a large bug. When a small rock hits a surface covered with it it's really a great benefit as it will hold the chipped paint in place until you remove the foil or it starts to peel off from exposure to the elements. If you are using this on your car to protect it from damage on the road I would say no.
