Very high quality and works like clockwork

It may seem like I'm using a technical version of Pimp My Ride, but currently my 2018 15" Macbook Pro is connected to this hub, which then connects to my Dell 2410 monitor and an attached USB docking station is the USB hub. on a monitor and chained to an external hard drive, USB speakers, Logitech gaming mouse, Logitech keyboard, USB ethernet adapter, and somehow it handles it all with no issues. I have some photos of my current setup that I've shared so you have an idea of how it currently works and everything is working great. Physically the adapter is stylish, branded at the top, metal on the outer shell with a thick cable end that plugs into a real laptop. The USB-C connector part definitely feels tight and I definitely had to put in a bit of effort to get a good seal, but so far it's worked flawlessly. USB ports work, card reader works, HDMI port works. I have tested this on my Dell monitor at 1920x1200 and it runs at 60Hz and also on a Sony 4k XBR TV and it works fine at 3840x2160 at 30Hz as advertised. I'm not aware of any cheaper adapters that offer HDMI 2.0 output for 4k at 60Hz, but I'm sure there are for those who need it - it's just not the right product. I have done many comparison purchases of different products and this once met my needs offering a decent mix of things in a portable package and at a reasonable price. I mostly use it when my laptop is docked, but it fits perfectly in my bag and for on-the-go use. Overall, I highly recommend this product and commend the company for offering something of high quality at a great price.

Pros
  • Super Speed USB 3.0 Ports (at full speed): Allows you to connect a keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc. to your MacBook Pro, transfer rates up to 5Gbps, USB A 2.0 compatible and below. Because HDD/SDD need more power, you can only connect 1 HDD/SSD with this adapter, and this adapter doesn't support Apple USB Super Drive.
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
