If you need a bit of accent lighting for your next party, these are a great option. Each bulb itself isn't very bright, but together they create quite a bit of light over the length of the string. Speaking of length, that's certainly not a problem here - this strand is the full advertised length and a bit more, giving you plenty of length to spread across a patio or large room.Of course, being incandescent lights, they are a dying technology and you don't get any fancy color or warmth changing tricks. And they do generate heat and use more power than similar LEDs would. But you know that going in and they're priced appropriately for that.So are there any negatives? Out of the box no, though the wire and sockets seem to be quite flimsy - I definitely question the reliability here if not handled with somewhat kid gloves. So perhaps these are best thought of as being for short term use, and if you get more, that's a bonus. I'll update this review if that impression changes over time.
