**UPDATE** Chairs for two months. decided to leave them after replacing the chair and everything was fine. Genuine leather chairs, not luxury leather. They are NOT bound with leather. At first I considered returning them because right out of the box the skin felt a bit ashy and dry. But things have changed in that I have treated the seats with Lexol Step 2 Leather Conditioner and it has really softened the leather, improved its appearance and helped the seat no longer look 'loose' (see new individual photos of all 4 seats). . I worked with leather chairs every day for a week. and then once a week. I used an entire bottle of conditioner because I really wanted the skin to be soft and protected since our dining area gets direct sunlight. I'm a little OCD! Now that the skin has become softer and lighter I am happy with the material and durability of the chairs. The only reason it doesn't give 5 stars is that the back angle is too far back for my preference (as I pointed out in the original review). They are durable and have held up well to my 275lb 6ft 5in son. and the guests praised her. everyone loves the turning action! For the price they are better than expected with one exception. I bought 4 cognac leather chairs but one arrived damaged. Then the replacement chair they sent was apparently a returned chair because it looked worn. and the shipping protection packaging inside was missing (all 3 good chairs were packaged exactly the same and well protected). I'm expecting a second replacement this weekend so there are only 3 in the photo. I don't know if the limited stock means the replacement items I'm receiving are previously returned items but we will know when the next one arrives. While these aren't "high-end" leather chairs, I still expect to get a new chair if I pay full price. It seems that quality control is the most important thing. Pros: * No assembly required * Chairs are sturdy and swivel easily * Leather doesn't look cheap (definitely not luxury leather, but good for the price) * Style can be easily combined with many different decors * Price wise they are better than expected. That's saying a lot since the leather chairs I really want are over $1,000 each! But that will have to wait until I win the lottery! Cons: * Color is a bit lighter (more gold) than regular cognac leather * Thought they would be a little more comfortable, but the back reclines a bit more than we expected. . I just put a small pillow under my back when we play games or sit at the table for a long time. delivery day after 5 days of use). Let's see how he behaves over the holidays.
