These shelves are great if you know what you are buying. They look good (the stain is very well done in my opinion) and have a cool weathered look.This is actual wood, not that pressed junk. It is a soft wood, but it is more than adequate because the shelves are small. The softer wood made it easier for me to secure the shelves to the frame since there were not any predrilled holes.Speaking of assembly, it is a breeze. Just take your time, measure carefully, and there will not be any problems.Great shelves, great price.
