I installed a window air conditioner because I'm afraid of a power outage this summer when temperatures hit 100 degrees in South Texas. I can use this device and my portable gas generator to keep at least part of my house cool. I'm covering the block this summer until I need it. This coating is very thin. I was hoping for something like canvas but got something like silk. Well, maybe not that thin, but thin. I had to modify this cover a bit due to the brackets I used for the window air conditioner, but overall it worked and looks good. The two straps keep the cover on the air conditioner very well. Let's see how well it holds up over the next few months.
