I bought this rectifier to put in my suitcase or backpack when I travel and it's great and perfect for that. This is a really simple, no frills rectifier and I wasn't expecting a lot of features from it. But having said that, I figured it at least had some heat settings, even if it's just a switch. It heats up very quickly since it's so small, which is a plus. The small design also makes it uncomfortable to hold as there isn't much room for hands other than to hold on to the sides where the heating elements are located. I'm sure they had to sacrifice some features and convenience to make it a small travel smoother. So before you buy it, know that this is a very basic hair straightener.
