While this gauge isn't the most accurate, it's still pretty close. When compared to several other gauges on similar lengths of fiber, there always seems to be a few percent difference with a gauge costing $400 or more. Definitely not a deal breaker when installing fiber optic internet in the field. At least the VFL is actually 30MW, unlike some people who claim they have 30MW VFL, it's really closer to 15. The best thing I like is that it's powered by 18650 batteries, like most my devices. So if it ever breaks and I'm in a pinch, I can swap it out with another battery from another device and be back online, ready to go. All in all a great product for the money.
