Review on Palestinian Handmade Tactical Accessories: Women's Keffiyeh Shemagh Scarves, Wraps & More by Nathan Unruh

Aesthetically decent, not made in Palestine

Although visually a fairly decent keffiyah, it is not made in Palestine. The listing appears to have been altered by the seller to remove the 'Made in Palestine' statement. Inside the keffiyah bag was a leaflet stating that it was made in Palestine. However, since it doesn't bear the label of Khirbawi, the *only* maker of keffiyeh in Palestine, it's clearly not made there. At best, it was made in Jordan, Israel, or Turkey, and the trim was sewn on in Palestine. However, since the colors and patterns are exact replicas of a Palestinian product, it's likely that someone simply slipped a "Made in Palestine" leaf into a bag of keffiyeh made in China, Pakistan, or elsewhere. Unfortunately, this type of questionable product is widely available in stores in the tourist areas of Israel and Palestine. While the keffiyeh may look like the real thing, it isn't. it is simply purchased and/or shipped from Hebron, not manufactured there.
