📀 Enhanced Insignia NS-BRDVD3 Blu-Ray Disc Player Review

Remote does not work, a previous model was broken but was replaced by Best-Buy as it was less than a year old and I kept warranty info, replacement worked fine for some time, but now occasionally makes a loud buzz and clink when playing a disc. Although the picture is good.

Stopped playing DVDs after a year. After the warranty has expired, of course. It was difficult to set up a Netflix account. I had to spend hours on the phone with tech support. The remote worked when it wanted to. Netflix or Pandora loaded very slowly. Just a miserable piece of cheap shit lying around. Rather spend a few euros more for something better.

In my opinion this item is not worth the price even though it is very cheap. The remote control is so poor and unreliable that it is difficult to use unless you want to constantly get up and tweak the machine's function. I've had it for a few days now and I still can't connect it to the internet. It plays discs great, but the poor remote control quality and terrible internet interface (I've had a lot of experience with these things and it should be a lot easier) mean I'd be willing to pay…

I've had this Blu-ray player for a while and had the same problems as most others: crappy remote control etc but just today I had a problem streaming Netflix and had to call Insignia aka Best Customer Support. Wow I had 3 agents who blatantly lied to me and then walked in and found out that one of them is working from home even after she told me she is in the same building as the manager she is with spoke. I love this Blu-ray player, it works great for the price and the best feature is Netflix. Super-fast streaming movies to your TV with a Netflix subscription (sold separately but costs less than $10/month, totally worth it!) The Wi-Fi connection makes everything easy and hassle-free. My Mom bought 3 of these for the family the same day they were on sale, best buy 26th October 2009 for $99. We bought no warranty on them and took a chance on these 3.
