Review on Planar PLN2770W 27-inch LCD Monitor, 1920x1080p, 60Hz by Planar Systems Inc. by John Mccrae

I've been buying planar monitors for almost 20 years. All had solid foundations. It's just rubbish compared to their other monitors. Without confusing their quality, I haven't used them often enough to say they are really bright and difficult to tone down. I also use it with a slightly older ThinkPad laptop and the suggested DVI cable didn't work for me so I wasted my money on this and had to order the correct mini DVI cable and seat belt to make sure it worked does not tip over. If you look at it on the "you get what you pay for" level, then this monitor is as good as any cheap monitor. But I wasn't the only one to experience the unexpected discontinuity of this heavy monitor.
