Good shoes for beginners
My child can walk almost, but not quite. He doesn't really need shoes, except for cosmetic purposes, and that fits the bill. The soles lack arch support but are fairly stable (much stiffer than the kids' cloth-bottomed shoes you see sneaker-style). My son was able to take off one of his sandals if he strained, but that was my fault for not fastening them tight enough. He didn't complain about it, other than that I would say they were very comfortable.
