I have had several pairs of Keen shoes/boots and these were the first ones I bought for my son. In short, they did a good job. I love the way they look (although my wife thinks they are ugly) and more importantly my son enjoys wearing them as they are comfortable and a good size. Here are a few things you might want to know: 1. The sizing says small kid sizes are for 4 to 8 year olds but my son is 3 and wears a size 9. He's not a particularly tall 3 year old for his legs are pretty average…

Pros
  • If your child is clumsy or likes to run a lot, these are the sides. Great tour box for protection.
Cons
  • Limited color options

Expensive but very nice shoes.

Although these shoes are listed as "sandals". . . As you can see in the photo, they cover the entire foot. They have very good traction. Nice padding on the insole. Velcro runs across. I like that there is a loop at the back to make it easier to put on. They can be washed in the washing machine. Like most Keen shoes they are quite overpriced... However... The quality is way better than most. In general, I really liked her.

Pros
  • Easy to clean and maintain
Cons
  • Size difference between left and right shoe

My son and I have loved paddleboarding since the pandemic began. I bought him a pair of water boots but he always ends up with rocks in them or in one case lost a pair when he got stuck in the mud. The relatives are wonderful. They are made by a company known for their water shoes and comfortable ground boots. This couple is no exception. It is consistent with the company's reputation and design solutions. Closed toe is good - now I have one less problem because my kid can hurt his toes. The…

Pros
  • My son can put them on and take them off himself. Most of the time he even puts them on the right feet!
Cons
  • I love Keen and love these shoes but the price/wear and tear ratio isn't worth it.

Durable shoes that can be machine washed

I own several pairs of Keen shoes myself. When I saw these children's shoes, I ordered a pair for my son. He is 3 years old but the size I ordered fits him perfectly. He is very rough with shoes and sometimes gets wet so these water sandals are perfect for him. Since these are closed sandals, he can wear them like normal shoes and also use them in the playground or on the beach. They are easy to clean as they are machine washable. Based on my experience with this pair I will be buying him more…

Pros
  • Great shoes for kids. Very durable.
Cons
  • Poor grip on wet surfaces

Great for camping in my rating.

This is a very good pair of durable outdoor running shoes for kids. They incorporate some of the features of Keen hiking shoes, like a wide toe box and protective toe cap, as well as a durable bottom that offers good traction on trails. However, they are designed in a more kid-friendly style. If you have a family that enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, etc., this is a great pair of shoes for toddlers.

Pros
  • Ideal for active families who love nature
Cons
  • Limited ankle support

Great water sandals, more like shoes

Closed sandals? Waterproof shoes? Whatever you call them, they are well made and work great. My toddler used them for walks when he was worried his feet would get wet. So with a toddler it's basically everywhere. These shoes are strong yet light and very flexible, just like you would expect in a good shoe, especially for growing feet. They hold up very well to splashes and walking around. His feet are dry from everything we've done. No slip issues - the non-slip base works well. Velcro allows…

Pros
  • My 6 year old has these and they are great. She plays with it and wears it to school. Costs money
Cons
  • We have had these shoes for a month now and my son only wore them indoors to school. They already have cracks and holes.

Play shoes, no special water sandals/shoes

Well, you wouldn't know that they are advertised as "water sandals". This is a fully closed toe shoe that has only a waterproof coating (water repellent) and dries quickly. They don't have large holes or mesh to drain water like most water boots. They are also heavier than thin thin water shoes which look more like regular shoes. They have a thick rubber outsole that runs high the length of the foot. I would rate them as kids play shoes that you don't have to worry about walking out in the rain

Pros
  • My little man loves his new shoes!!
Cons
  • Not suitable for narrow feet

long time interested buyer here

You are beautiful! This is the high quality I expected when I can wear them after two or three kids and still sell them for a few bucks with shipping! They are really well made. I got 4 for my big baby and I bought it a little big because it's meant for summer and now it's winter. I like the toe protection and toe room. What I don't like about the shoes is that the tread isn't the BEST and not as tacky as some other shoes.

Pros
  • Closed toes protect toes from injury
Cons
  • hard to crack

So disappointed best in my rating

My boys are always rough on their shoes so I figured buying Keen would give me at least 6 months of shoe life for my 8 year old. Unfortunately my son has had these shoes for a month and 10 days and they are practically unusable. Most importantly, the Velcro has come loose from the strap making it impossible to close the boot. The material also appears to "peel" where his foot bends at the base of the toes. The soles still look good (which I was certainly expecting after only a month!) but I…

Pros
  • Rubber covers the toe box for kids who play a lot
Cons
  • The price is too high for the quality

Very strong, mostly sneakers.

KEEN water sandals are much more durable than regular water boots. These are ordinary sneakers for all purposes and tasks. They are beautifully crafted with a chunky rubber sole that covers the toe, a durable fabric upper and a durable velcro closure. The shoes fit my 4 year old son well in a size 11. They move well and give him good traction. He puts them on and takes them off with no problem. I washed them in the front loading washing machine on the gentle cycle and air dried them. They came…

Pros
  • Encourages children to be active and explore nature
Cons
  • Takes a long time to dry after getting wet

Great fit and very comfortable

Not sure why they say "water shoes" as they are obviously perfect for spring/fall shoes and definitely not sandals as it seems to me that sandals usually have holes and these shoes are more like sneakers. Overall I am very satisfied that my eldest son's feet are a bit wider than usual, fit perfectly and are very comfortable. As soon as he put them on he said he loves them and he looks like a dad because he wears sneakers all the time. The quality is excellent, the comfort is high and they are…

Pros
  • My son went to the camp because he couldn't wear open-toed shoes. Love how easy it is to clean!
Cons
  • Excessive wear after minimal use

Great shoes! to my rating.

I know the photos show these shoes in a pretty rough shape. Let me tell you why this is so amazing. My son is autistic. Buying shoes traumatizes everyone involved. Once my son finds a pair of shoes that "fit" him, those shoes don't fall off his foot until they fall apart (which usually takes 2-3 weeks). It doesn't matter if it's raining, snowing or muddy; Whether we go to church, school, camping or the playground, he will wear these shoes. Once they literally fall apart, put on their shoes and…

Pros
  • Developed for tough outdoor conditions
Cons
  • Lack of heel support

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Difficult to put on.

I really wonder why they are called sandals. They look more like sneakers than sandals. They definitely don't let water through, feet are dry and not slippery. What I don't like about these shoes is that they are tight when you put them on. This means my 3 year old cannot put them on by himself and needs help getting them on and off. He gets very upset when we put them on as we have to move and push a little. When they are on they are great and he is very comfortable in them. He can walk, has…

Pros
  • Protects feet from stones, sticks and other debris on the ground
Cons
  • Limited arch support

Would have given 5 stars if labeled correctly

These KEEN unisex kids Knotch Peak closed toe water sandals are definitely NOT water sandals! I'm not sure if this is Revain's fault or Keen's fault. But in any case, this is not what they call it! These are casual play shoes for kids. They can take a little bit of wetness, they can take dirt and grime and all that. They are also very durable and made just as well as you would expect from Keens! This is very good quality! The fit is exactly how it should be. And my 9 year old son says he's on…

Pros
  • It was a birthday present for my nephew. he loved it so much. so easy to wear and most importantly comfortable.
Cons
  • Straps difficult to adjust

Go to street shoes in my review

I was trying to find shoes that my little granddaughter would love to wear. I knew Keanes had a pretty good reputation so thought it might be worth a try. The navy blue and pink options combine girly and sportswear. There are small reflective stripes on the tongue and the back of the shoe. The front of the shoe has both elastic laces and Velcro. The laces add extra comfort and the Velcro straps are fully adjustable. A Velcro strap goes through the tongue of the shoe to keep it securely on the…

Pros
  • Made from durable materials to last a lifetime
Cons
  • Outsole wears out quickly

Great wide finger box, bought one size bigger in the sale

They are great for natural flared feet and flat heels. To match a size 12 New Balance sneakers and dream boots became tight, a size 13 fits a 7 year old with some room. She can put them on easily. It's only been worn a few times to "break in" but now she says they're comfortable and I know Keane wears them all the time and lasts a long time. Feet stayed dry even through the recent downpour and large puddles in the parking lot. Went on and ordered the next size up when she confirmed she liked…

Pros
  • Perfect for active kids who love outdoor adventures.
Cons
  • Velcro tapes lose their effectiveness over time.

stylish and great quality

Product Rating: KEEN Unisex Kids' Knotch Peak Closed Toe Water SandalKeen is a well-known brand that makes quality shoes and this kids' shoe is no exception. Great workmanship and style for children's shoes. The outsole is rubber with flexible front and back, and there's an arch lift for extra support. The upper is washable, making them great sandals or water shoes for outdoors. These shoes are a little pricey but they last forever and usually kids grow up before these shoes wear out or give…

Pros
  • The lightweight design doesn't weigh down little feet
Cons
  • Difficult to clean and maintain

Strong and durable Keen shoes

I use Keen sandals for my kids and they are by far the most durable and long lasting sandals. They can survive transmission to multiple children, which is saying something. "This version of the Keen sandal is a misnomer as it's really just a shoe. The top is fully covered with a thin yet sturdy fabric. Because they're closed, they offer more protection but retain more heat than sandals. The sole is exactly the same as the sandals and must be very durable. You can throw them in the washing…

Pros
  • Easy to put on and take off
Cons
  • Not suitable for children with special needs

THESE ARE NOT REAL RELATIVES

They have been hacked and used! You can see the wear and tear on them! They fall apart before my kid even puts them on! Do not buy this scam.

Pros
  • Offers excellent impact resistance
Cons
  • No additional cushioning to absorb shock

A shoe: my rating

I ordered these for my son for Christmas and I am very pleased. I opened the box I received in the mail and there was only one shoe...will be back.

Pros
  • Encourages children to explore the world around them
Cons
  • The inflexible material restricts the natural movement of the foot.
