My 3 year old granddaughter chose these because she liked the purple color. I was a bit hesitant because of the price and the expectation that she would outgrow them quickly. But in the end he swallowed the bullet. She LOVES them and wears them every day. Merrill makes very high quality shoes.

I had no intention of returning the shoes so I threw the box away after opening it. I didn't have the "original packaging" required previously so I didn't know how to return it. We LOVE these sneakers. My 3 year old son is rough in shoes and we have had several of these shoes in different sizes. They cost money!

Our daughter was jealous of her older sister's light up shoes but she needs more support. As soon as she put on her "camper shoes", her opinion quickly changed. She says they are comfortable and easy to put on and take off. While it's not that important, I guess they look pretty! Would buy again.

These shoes are great for my daughter who has slightly wide feet. This is the second pair we have received in this style; the first grew small. If you wear shoes and drag your feet on a bike every day for six months, they start to wear out, but I guess that's to be expected.

Whoever sends this pair of shoes is PoS. I received a goddamn used dirty shoe with the fabric torn all over. very disappointed. if i could give zero stars i would give it that.

I bought these for my 11 year old to wear during a 2 week vacation where we did a lot of hiking. He liked them so much that he only took them with him when he traveled and wore them all the time.

We bought them for my son so that he can carry them to kindergarten in the forest from a few weeks. We asked him to try on the shoes to make sure they fit and he insisted on wearing them outside. These are his favorite shoes now. He wore them everywhere, in mud, mud and sand. They have great traction. They are not "waterproof" but seem to keep feet dry in wet grass or mud. My 9 year old has wide feet. It is very difficult to find wide shoes for children. These "hiking shoes" are wide and fit my son very well and he wears them to school every day. This is his third pair; each pair lasts until it outgrows them (maybe 9 months each).

The laces broke after 2 months of wear. My kids are a bit harsh on their shoes but I expected them to last more than 2 months. There is also no way to fix them after they break.

They seem tighter than other shows I've received for my 4 year old. He doesn't complain when they're on, but they're so tight he can't put them on himself.

My 9 year old hasn't worn them in 3 months and they are already fraying at the ankle and the thread has come loose in the forefoot. I was not impressed with the quality of these shoes! I expect more from Merrells. They are comfortable, easy to put on and hold up well, too bad the upper isn't durable.

Bought these for my 11 year old daughter for her first hike and she said they were very comfortable. It showed itself well on various terrains (water, rocks, climbing, mud).

I have 4 boys aged 11-1 and my boys always need Merrell shoes. This pair just wasn't the same as the others, the quality seemed very cheap and the piece holding the velcro broke in half. Very disappointed.

So disappointed. The shoes came in a plastic bag. When I opened my bag I found they had sent me a pair of used shoes. If I wanted to buy something from Savers, that's where I would go.

After only 3 weeks of wearing one of the laces broke which is very disappointing considering we paid more for a quality product we were hoping for.

Excellent quality children's shoes. Easy to take off and put on. They got dirty a few times, I've washed them and they're still holding up well. No complaints.

This is the most realistic walking shoe for a small child that we have seen. They fit well, they feel comfortable and durable, they're machine washable - they're definitely worth the price. They feel easy to slip on and, probably most importantly, ready for adventure with no signs of blistering or the need to "break them in". They are also easy for children to dress up to encourage their independence. When they grow up we will replace them with other Merrell shoes.
