Review on KOHLER GENUINE 1069722 Toilet Flush by Calvin Hodges

I inherited these Kohler toilets. I hate them. They scatter things and sometimes make a mess. However, this part works. Unfortunately, a total nuisance during installation. You have to remove the tank and do the operation. I had to use a dremel to cut the old part off (worked fine but it melted the plastic and gave off a horrible smell - if you do it in a ventilated place) because it's impossible to unscrew unless you have a special tool. . But once you've removed the old parts, it's not that hard to install the new ones. You need some patience. The problem I had was a small leak around the plastic cylinder gasket. Of course, the replacement seal looked crappy and would probably fail in a few years. Too complicated, crappy design by Kohler. I will never buy their products again. Once the pad is gone, the toilet will be gone too. The American standard will be a replacement.
