I was pissed when I found out the adapter only works with TRS mics. If you don't know what a TRS 3.5 male cable is, I don't blame you: it's a three-section headphone cable, while the TRRS headphone cable has four sections. So if you have a TRRS mic, you need to buy a TRRS-TRS adapter (I recommend the MOVO adapter) to make it work with the Gopro mic adapter. I wish they would include it in this overpriced product or even mention it on their product page so their customers don't have to waste their time figuring out how to make the mic work and then spend more money.
