This case in combination with the Samsung Galaxy A (T510) is significantly heavier than my old Samsung Galaxy Tab A (T580) and the case. Most of the weight should be on the body as tablet weight varies slightly (the T510 is actually lighter according to the specs). It also made the tablet and case combo much thicker than my old setup. The new Tab A is noticeably thinner, so most of that extra thickness comes back from the chassis. The lid didn't stay closed when you turned the case lid upside down. This worried me: in the event of an accidental drop, the case could open up, exposing the screen to possible damage. Also, the tablet only woke up 5% of the time when I opened the case. The rest of the time I had to press the side button, which was hampered by the casing's border around the tablet. The same rim also made the volume buttons awkward to use, making it difficult for them to slide along the top and bottom edges. The case makes a well-made and robust impression. I suspect it would have been well preserved over time. I also liked the front pocket and would use it if not returning the case.
