Although the price is good and the dark color is great, the design is not suitable for a cat if it is a BIG cat. . I've had a beige tower for years and my (large) cat loves the top perch. It only had a 13 inch platform. In this design, the top bed on the 15-inch rod and the 18-inch rod are connected, and this does not encourage the big cat to climb to the top. It wobbles and moves so much that I'm afraid it will tip over because it's heavy at the top. It would be better if the house section was between the two bars, which would give less room to sway. for cat sleep. all others were 13". I removed the platform on the lower tier and replaced it with a 15" bed for him. And I was able to remove the top support and put the bed in. But I'm disappointed that it wasn't constructed better so I could use it as shown in the picture. When attempting to mod this device, I still had trouble staying together. The cat jumped onto the platform and the rod came out of the plastic insert that screws into the lower base. Not a solid build at all I've aged it's been replaced for years just for normal wear and tear and I've cleaned it by wearing down the fabric. This tower will work for a cat that doesn't go over 10-12 pounds. The picture shown is my old tower have been using it for a long time and it was much sturdier.
