A big improvement over my HP 4-in-1 printer. The scanning speed is fantastic. The output is better. My OCR software works much better with the Canon output than the HP output.

I wish it had scanning options like the neat scanner I had. With Neat Scanner I could scan a batch of receipts and with Neat Scanner I could scan a batch of receipts as 1 document or I could scan a batch of receipts as individual receipts without having to scan them individually with a Canon scanner.

My wife used it to digitize all her family photos. What she would otherwise take about 8 hours, she can now do in one. The only thing is that every time she tries to use it her computer doesn't recognize it and we have to play with the computer and the scanner to make them work together, but that's probably just a problem on our side.

my review seems blocked from posting webpages for the right divers and software when using win 10 64bit. So you have to spend hours and headache to find it yourself, but Canon's webpage guides you to drivers and software totally outdated for Win 10i. Previously Canon used DRM 160 which cost $1000 at one time and this scanner does a better job for a fraction of the cost. USB 3.0 is a big plus in terms of speed

This device was unable to find multiple wireless access points and its alternate wireless setup process is not much more reliable. But the worst thing is that once the device comes out of sleep mode, you have to reconfigure the wireless network. Looks like a great scanner. These features make it a reliable scanner. So why the one star rating? It is said to work with Mac OS 11 (Big Sur). It is not. The attached photo shows the error code. good , I'm biased; I like Canon and have for many years. Took a risk to bring it back to Prime. Took about 20m to install. Lots of ambiguity and poor instructions. Worked after another 10m. Wi-Fi seems to be the best. Never could get a response via USB. (Wi-Fi is preferable in my case.) ADF works fine. No instructions.
