has been purchased from the royal hotel before and the sheets I received were great. super soft That's exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately that was years ago. Now that it's time to replace some worn sheets, I'm back at the royal hotel. I won't do that again. The sheets came out of the packaging like cardboard. VERY hard and rough. I washed them according to the label. No difference. I washed them again. and again. and again. Nothing beats a very soft sheet to ensure you get a good night's sleep. But they are naturally rough and tough. I know Egyptian cotton often needs a little washing to get softer, but after 7 washes there was no difference in the fabric. Very disappointing. Not all cotton threads are the same. It seems like a less than stellar choice of thread.
