We fixed the loop problem with a few feet of 12 gauge copper electrical wire. If he holds the loop well open, the sound comes through wonderfully. Before connecting the coil, make sure the connector is fully inserted into the computer and adjust the computer audio level to normal speaker level. Then it works great.
