I bought it for use with a cochlear implant. It works but the sound is very weak and not powerful enough. You can hear it when you are in a quiet room. If you're in a car or on a train, forget it. Intended for use with an iPhone. Too much static to use. Tried different batteries, no change. I tried another adapter 2.5mm to 3.5mm. Statics have improved slightly, but are still unusable. It sounded like listening to a radio station that was almost, but not quite, on the same frequency.

Lots of interference and distortion when used with bilateral cochlear implants in telecoil mode. The more you turn up the volume, the worse it gets. Not worth the hassle of sending it back. I have Clearsounds CLA7-V2, Clearsounds Quattro, Quattro 4.0, The Bellman and Symfon all have great sound quality compared to this model. Be sure to check out one of these other brands if you need a telecoil loop.

Last year I had problems with my iPhone 4 with hearing aids. I decided to try the Amplicom NL 100. When my audiologist installed the telecoil setting on my hearing aids, everything worked great. Some volume adjustment is required between the hearing aids, the phone and the neck strap to get the right sound. Now that I have the loop, I'll pack my headphones, earbuds, and bluetooth. I'm thinking of buying another one so I can keep one at work and one at home.

We had problems at the start. The audio jack is installed incorrectly. Then we had problems with the volume control compared to the control on the computer. Finally, we had issues with the spool trying to grab onto the neck too tightly. To work really well, the loop needs to have a large shoulder width.
