I bought these and was so pleased with them that I ordered several pairs and used them for various things around the house. They all broke within 30 days. Metal blades are nice but they only go a little into the beginning of the handles and then it's cheap plastic with a softer grip for more comfort but also lacks strength and that's where the pressure of cutting comes into play. Because it's somewhat flexible, it won't withstand thumb pressure when cutting. It breaks easily and the pictures show there is nothing solid over the blades, it's just plastic. They all collapsed in the same place and were used for different purposes. One of them didn't even live to see the gift wrapping for Christmas. Scissors should not wear out and break while cutting the wrapping paper.
