This is my favorite keyboard and mouse combo so far. If you use Microsoft Office, Media Player, IE, etc., the modified function keys will be very useful. Pressing an extra key to access traditional function keys (the new function key lock key) isn't much of a compromise compared to having common functions like print and spell check always available with the same dedicated key. I got used to the keys for music, web browsing, email, etc. on the previous Microsoft wired keyboard. This keyboard has it too. All features are configurable unless you use the standard MS programs. As with all MS keyboards, the key feel is the best on the market. The mouse is also top quality. The battery life suits me. My batteries last months.
