1. I am severely allergic to nickel. 2. I have a 2 month old baby and I wash my hands and make bottles all the time. 3. I am very picky about my jewelry. I bought this to wear semi-temporarily so I don't cut my newborn with my princess cut engagement ring. I love it. It has withstood washing, showering etc. The color hasn't faded, cracked or anything else after 2 months of hard wearing and doesn't respond to my allergies at all. Would buy again without hesitation. As for the size I'm not sure as I didn't measure but before pregnancy I had an 8.5 ring which was too tight bought a 9 and it's still comfortable so I suggest to stay at your normal size.
