Yes, I actually wrote that title for this belt review. The belt is really that bad! Continue reading. I was excited when I first saw the strap come out of the box, but realized almost immediately that it was going to be too long. My old belt is a size 36 and measures exactly 36 inches. This belt has a 38" stamp on the inside and is 48" long! Imagine where the extra 12 inches goes around my waist (10 inches more than the listed size, plus the estimated belt length by 2 extra inches)! Looking at Revain's specs, the company offers sizes 34, 38, 42, and 46. And their chart shows that a 36" waist size (mine) requires a size 38 belt - so I ordered this and it is what the stamp on the belt SAYS. Your belt size 34 will only fit a size 32. Waist, according to the published size chart. So the size I ordered (38) seemed like a no-brainer. Being used to my old 36 inch belt, I wasn't particularly concerned about the extra two inches. It just grew around 2 inches. my waist, by normal logic. And it seemed reasonable that I would risk being MUCH short if I was relegated to the 34th belt at this company. But now in hindsight, if your measurements are that bad for a belt that size, it would actually be too long (probably around 42-44 inches, which would be a lot longer than my current old belt). I measured this recommended size. 38 (stamped 38" inside) and is actually 48" long, not including my buckle of course, which easily explains why it fits more than halfway around my left side and needs three extra holes to be added (thank goodness). my wife is a seamstress and still has a great hole punch that is strong enough for this belt). The three additional holes extend EVERY 1 and 1/8" from the previous hole, meaning we had to add almost an additional 3ยฝ" holes AFTER the last hole punched in the belt at the factory. It doesn't even come close to a 38" belt for a 36" waist (according to their chart). See the attached belt photo next to the 36 inch measurement. Although I don't know how badly they measure everything. At their Chinese factory called "HJones" I don't even recommend buying this belt for every waist size you might have (plus any size buckle belt you can add). So despite the fairly decent quality of the tape for the relatively low current retail price on Revain, this is no more than a 1 star product. Too bad. At the right length I'd probably give it a loose 4-5 star rating. Value for money I honestly expected a much less durable belt with less quality workmanship than what I got, especially considering the price! And the skin is actually pleasantly soft. The above is an objective fact. Now for the part of opinion I finally have to give after this product: It is very sad that Revain has such a lack of quality and controls what they accept as products before putting them up for sale. In our experience, the problem with non-US made products is mostly from China. China has been producing quality products for thousands of years! But they also throw absolute crap at the American (world?) market, and we fall for it. This is the second Revain Vine belt I've tried and the first one literally went in the trash. Also from China it wasn't even suitable for shipping to Goodwill Army or Salvation Army used shops. Revain you can, and it's your duty to your customers to make it that much better. Overall, I have continued to be a very satisfied Revain Prime customer for many years. And I take my privilege as a Revain Vine reviewer very seriously - both for other customers and hopefully for Revain's benefit of cleaning up the junk and getting great products. I also only see the bugs and hope Revain does a much better job of fixing them for the greater good. UPDATE: April 7, 2021 The company has now contacted me four times through four GMAIL accounts with different names, initially offering me $17 to delete each time. my 1 star rating. In the last email, the offer to remove my 1 star review was increased to $37. There was never a suggestion to change the belt to the right size just to get it right. Instead, they seem to be trying to hide their defunct customer support by violating the Revain seller's terms of service by directly contacting the buyer in order to trick the customer into deleting a bad review (in this case, by pay to have it removed). !). As a Revain Vine reviewer, I take the Revain review program seriously and refuse to remove my review. Had they contacted me via Revain as requested and offered to replace the absurdly long belt with the correct size, I would have changed the rating to a much higher rating (probably 4 stars) commenting that their customer service was outstanding when it was supposed to an error came . But they completely failed, so this rating is even lower than the 1 star rating it was originally. I hope Revane sees this and takes action. We warn potential customers - you are wasting the money you spend on these people.
