I've been using the P80 for about a month and I have to say I really like this camera. As one of the previous reviewers said, you need to read the manual and have some knowledge of aperture and shutter settings. Not broad knowledge, but at least an idea of what it's about. After unpacking I was initially disappointed. He seemed to have a hard time taking clear pictures in low light. But after playing with the settings and exiting automatic mode, I was very happy with the results. Once you set it up the way you want it becomes somewhat point-and-shoot, but can adapt very quickly. It's not really point and shoot, so don't expect it. But if you spend a little time reading the settings and playing around with them a bit, you can get some really good shots. This camera replaced the Sony DSC S50 which was simpler and maybe a little easier to set up, but this camera takes better pictures. Oh yeah, you'll love the zoom if, like me, you're used to 6x. Take, study and have fun. I recommend it.
